 | After college at Northwestern University near Chicago, Dr. Hornyik moved back west because she couldn't handle the heat, humidity, and flatness of Illinois. She attended medical school at Oregon Health Science University in Portland, Oregon, and then did her residency at Primary Children's Medical Center. She enjoys backcountry skiing, snow boarding, running, biking, hiking, and camping. She finds she is spending way too much time waging war against the weeds in her yard. Dr. Hornyik is married to Chris, who is in Pharmacologic research. Tobi, her dog, is the best dog in the world (except for the shedding part and the eating the garbage part!) Dr. Hornyik chose to be a pediatrician because she enjoys watching the kids grow up to be healthy and happy. Her happy outlook and cheerful attitude make her a favorite for patients and their families. |
