"I consider it a privilege to partner with patients and families as they navigate childhood and adolescence, championing children's health and happiness."

Background

Maureen is a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and joined our Summit office in 2024. Before pursuing nursing, Maureen earned her master’s degree in child development and early childhood education and developed educational curriculum for software games, like Reader Rabbit and Carmen Sandiego. She went on to attend Westminster College for her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and then the University of Utah for her Doctor of Nursing Practice, specializing in Pediatrics. She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to our team, including her time as a nurse at Huntsman Cancer Institute and Primary Children’s Hospital.

As a pediatric provider, Maureen loves working with kids and teens because of their optimism and eagerness to learn. She is passionate about teaching and believes that education is key to helping patients and families understand health, build confidence, and empower them to advocate for their needs. Her approach to care centers on open communication and working in
collaboration with families. She strives to involve young patients in their health conversations, ensure her patients feel heard, and listen closely to the concerns and valuable insights of parents. For Maureen, building lasting relationships with her patients and supporting them on their health journeys is highly rewarding.

Although Maureen grew up in Michigan, she has lived on both coasts and has called Salt Lake City home for nearly two decades. She enjoys spending time with her husband, five children, two granddaughters, and their beloved goldendoodle, Scout. She also likes traveling, hiking, cooking, and a good laugh.
