Background

Dr. Wendy Chu is a board-certified orthodontist with over two decades of clinical experience.  After completing a Master of Science in Cancer Biology, she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree as Class Valedictorian from Boston University and went on to complete advanced specialty training in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from The State University of New York at Buffalo.  In 2026, we happily welcomed Dr. Chu to Wasatch Pediatrics, and she currently provides care for children and adults at our Southpoint Dentistry & Orthodontics office in West Jordan.

As an orthodontist, Dr. Chu’s embraces a whole-patient philosophy in her practice.  She balances precision and evidence-based care with empathy, active-listening, and thoughtful communication.  She is known for taking the time to understand each patient’s individual needs and providing personalized treatment plans and solutions that make families feel cared for and heard.  Dr. Chu finds joy in the chance to be hands-on with each smile and building relationships with patients and their families and witnessing the small victories that make each journey unique.

Born in China, Dr. Chu moved to Canada at a young age with her parents.  Her experience shaped her resilience and deep appreciation for culture, family, and community.  She later built her life in the United States with her husband and eventually in Utah, where their two daughters were born and raised.

Outside of work, Dr. Chu loves spending time with her family and friends, adventuring outdoors, and traveling.  She enjoys rekindling her love of the piano and savoring moments in local coffee shops where she can relax and reflect.
