"Life is tough and sometimes kids and families need a bit of extra help navigating the challenges of growing up. That’s what I’m here for."

Background

Allison Cirenza is a board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in psychiatric mental health. She received her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Utah and has a rich background in mental health care.  Prior to joining our Cottonwood office in 2024, Ally spent over seven years working in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatry, including various settings such as psychiatric hospitals, juvenile justice, and addiction medicine.  She also has advanced training in treating PTSD and supporting LGBTQ+ individuals.

Ally values working closely with pediatricians, therapists, parents, and children and adolescents to find the best and most lasting solutions.  She believes in holistic, evidence-based treatments and takes a thoughtful, conservative approach to managing psychiatric medications for kids.  In addition to medication management, she offers psychiatric evaluation and diagnostic services, therapeutic communication, and practical advice for parents dealing with their children’s behavioral challenges.

Outside of the office, you can find Ally skiing, mountain biking, paddleboarding, and wrangling her adorable and rambunctious labrador, Stevie.
