"I believe it’s important for kids to feel heard and to be active participants in becoming the healthiest version of themselves."

Background

Amy is a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Westminster College and spent her nursing career providing neonatal care while working in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU). After ten years at the bedside caring for the tiniest and most fragile patients, she returned to the University of Utah to complete her Doctor of Nursing Practice in pediatrics. We happily welcomed Amy to our Summit office in 2025.

As a pediatric provider, Amy’s approach centers on building trust with kids and their families. She strives for them to feel heard, supported, and confident in the care she provides. She takes time to explain things clearly and uses evidence-based care and compassion to support each child’s health and development.

Amy enjoys building genuine relationships with children and their families over time and finds joy and inspiration watching her patients, especially NICU graduates, grow and thrive. Her passion for pediatrics has led to multiple service trips to Malawi working in a pediatric hospital and a strong commitment to global child health.

Salt Lake City has been home to Amy her entire life. She loves being outdoors, spending time in the mountains, traveling, and cooking. When not caring for patients, Amy is busy chasing after her two young children, spending time with her husband, and creating meaningful moments together as a family.
