Background

Dr. Cynthia Owens is a Utah native but has had a broad experience outside of Utah attending Yale Medical School, Reed College, BYU extension in Austria, and Oregon Health Sciences University. She has practiced medicine at Wasatch Pediatrics for over 25 years. Consequently, she has extensive experience supporting parents with behavior challenges and treating a wide range of health conditions. Dr. Owens loves caring for people of all walks of life and earning the trust of her patients. She is known for placing her patients’ welfare at heart and constantly being on the lookout for therapies that may help children. Her patients have certainly come to know it is not uncommon for her to follow up on her day off to share an extra idea that may be helpful. In addition to her clinic responsibilities, Dr. Owens is currently serving as the Chairman of the Pediatrics Department at St. Mark’s Hospital.

Dr. Owens and her husband have 4 children and an adorable grandson. During her free time, she loves spending time with her family, riding horses, playing pickleball, hiking, and biking.  She is also an accomplished pianist and speaks German fluently.
