"I truly love my work in helping families feel hope, progress, and support as we work together to get the right treatments and medications."

Background

Georgia Allen received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Westminster College and her master’s degree in Family Psychiatric Mental-Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHMP) from the University of Utah.  Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner and working in mental health, she worked for years as a CNA and RN at the University of Utah Hospital.  She considers her years in the Burn Trauma ICU and service mission as a volunteer nurse aboard the USNS Mercy to Southeast Asia, to be career and character-building highlights.

Prior to joining our Draper location in 2021, Georgia accumulated 10 years of experience in psychiatry.  Over half of that experience was spent at Primary Children’s at Wasatch Canyons, where she primarily managed mental health care in an outpatient setting in addition to inpatient and day treatment roles.

Currently, Georgia specializes in psychiatric medication management as well as diagnoses and treatment planning.  She treats children & adolescents for all mental health concerns and enjoys works closely with pediatricians and other providers including therapists, psychologists, and dietitians to address patients’ whole health.  Georgia absolutely adores the kids, teens, and families she has the opportunity to work with and strives to do her best to help improve their quality of life.

Georgia and her husband are the proud parents of three boys, including a set of identical twins. She loves people, yoga, being outside, and shopping.
