"When our little people are overwhelmed by big emotions, it is our job to share our calm, not join their chaos." – L.R. Knost

Background

Josie received her Master of Social Work degree from Utah State University.  She joined our Draper office in 2024, bringing a wealth of experience working with children, adolescents, and emerging adults. Her therapeutic style is guided by compassion and a commitment to supporting others through difficult times. She firmly believes in the power of the “wounded healer” and aims to provide a nurturing space for children and families to find support, understanding, and empowerment.

Josie is passionate about partnering with her clients to provide the best help for their needs. She has a particular interest in neuroscience as she is fascinated by the intricate complexities of the brain and its remarkable capacity for healing. Josie has specialized training in several therapeutic modalities, including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and TIST (Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment).

In her spare time, you’ll find Josie reading, enjoying a wide range of music, and cheering on the Utah Jazz.
