Dr. Kristine Wake grew up in Sheboygan, Wisconsin and earned both her undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Wisconsin. Upon completing her pediatrics residency training at Seattle Children’s Hospital, she returned to her hometown to practice alongside her father, who was also a pediatrician. She later transitioned to pediatric urgent care and served in a leadership position managing Quality Improvement and Patient Safety at Children’s Wisconsin Urgent Care. In 2022, Dr. Wake moved to Utah and joined our Summit location.
Throughout her broad experience in primary and acute care, Dr. Wake has recognized that she loves all aspects of providing care to kids and families, including well-baby and child care, teen health, acute illness and injury management, as well as co-managing complex and chronic conditions. Dr. Wake’s believes pediatric medicine is best practiced as a collaboration. She enjoys working with caregivers initially, and over time, including the child as well as others who work to help the child succeed, like teachers, counselors, and specialists.
Dr. Wake and her husband were well-known visitors to the Park City area for decades. Once their youngest child was settled into college life, they decided to relocate to Park City and make it their permanent home. When not working, Dr. Wake enjoys mountain biking, hiking, skiing, sailing, cooking, and spending time with her very energetic goldendoodle.
